Charlie (As he was known) was a house painter by trade. He was born the second child of five to Robert Mitchell Mann and Lucinda Connor. He was the father of two children, Robert Thomas Mann and Ruth Elizabeth Mann. He took his family from Lancaster County Nebraska to southern California in 1941, where he lived until his death in 1960. He is buried in Westminster Cemetery in Long Beach California. His paternal grand parents were Morgan Allen Mann and Anna M. Pettit. His maternal grand parents were Lewis Connor III and Margaret Mary Jennings.
