Reverend Mother Ursula Benziger, RSCJ, was born in New York City in 1885 and entered the Society of the Sacred Heart at Kenwood, Albany. Reverend Mother Benziger was mistress of novices at Kenwood, the superior of the Manhattanville community as well as superior of Maplehurst (CT). Reverend Mother Benziger was named Assistant General for the Society in 1946 -- a capacity she continued to serve in until 1965. She died 5 FEB 1972.
