Catherine Elizabeth "Kitty" Elliott was the daughter of Thomas Arters Elliott III and his wife Emma Adeline Felder. On September 17, 1875 she married Thomas Barton Stone. They were the parents of eight children: Anne Holland Stone, Emma Warren Stone Pettus, Thomas Elliott Stone, John Norman Stone, Sarah Felder Stone Theis, Katherine Barrillon Stone Bogart, Warren Stone, and Barton William Stone.
