Milo is named after his maternal grandfather, Milo B Goodall.
Milo Thurlow was born May 17, 1877 at Madison, South Dakota, coming to Vale in 1910 where he took up a homestead. On March 3, 1926 he married Mable Long at Newell. She preceded him in death in 1936. In 1940 he moved to Vale where he has lived ever since untill about May of 1951 when he was taken to the Belle Fourche hospital.
