Lynds: Elizabeth Grace (Henderson), 70, of Valley, Col. Co. With great sadness we announce Elizabeth's passing at home, Thursday, August 21, 2008, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Matthew Thomas and Ella (Miller) Henderson. She is survived by her loving husband Claude, of 47 years; son, Kevin (Sharon Barron), Valley; daughters, Gwen (Gordon) Cook, Debert; Darlene, Onslow; grandchildren, Damian, Matthew and Ashley Cook; sister, Ruby Jennings, London, ON; brother, Ralph, Camden; brother-in-law, Seldon Reid; sister-in-law, Vera Henderson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters, Rhoda Dean, Jean Reid; brothers, Parker Henderson, Clyde Henderson; brothers-in-law, Richard Jennings, Blackie Dean; sisters-in-law, Elma Henderson, Mary Henderson; nieces and nephews. In her early years, Elizabeth worked at the Lewis Hat Factory in Truro. She was a member of the Valley United Church. She loved knitting, music and dancing.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Saturday, August 23, and funeral service 3:30pm Sunday, August 24, Rev. Brian DeLong officiating, with reception to follow, all to take place at the funeral home. Interment will then be held in the Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Family flowers only. If desired donation's in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Palliative Care, VON, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
