Wilburn DERRYBERRY married 03 September 1938, Madison Co., Alabama to Willie Mae ODOM, daughter of Stanford Franklin ODOM, Sr. and Susan Caroline MELTON (wife still living in July 2011).

Wilburn Derryberry, 87, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Chapel with B. F. Risinger Jr. and Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Dan Coy, Dan Berglund, Brian Ingram, David Newbury, Joe McClure and Daniel Golmon. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Ingram, Bill Flint, Fran Heald and Al Prince.

Mr. Derryberry was born Feb. 17, 1914 in Barry to Leslie and Alice Derryberry. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Corsicana and a lifetime member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge of Dallas. He was also a member of the Texas Society of Telephone Engineers and a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, H. O. Derryberry.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, W. M. Derryberry; son and daughter-in-law, L. and L. Derryberry of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, C. and G. Newbury of Corsicana; grandsons, K. Ingram of Carmel, Ind., B. Ingram of Waxahachie, and D. Newbury of Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughters, L. Berglund of Waxahachie, and J. Ingram and A. Ingram, both of Dallas; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, V. McClure of Blooming Grove and M. Jones and A. M. Capps, both of Dallas; sisters-in-law, W. F. Derryberry of Dallas, Freddie Summers of Corsicana, Betty Heald of Malakoff, S. Prince of Lake Havasu, Ariz. and B. Flint of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Food Pantry of Corsicana.
