DEATH OF MRS. E. P. EARLE (Anderson Mall, 4th) Mrs. E. P. Earle, widow of the late E. Preston Earle, died suddenly at her home near Beaverdam yesterday afternoon. She had been in feeble health for some time. The funeral took place from the home this afternoon. Mrs. Earle was about 50 years old and had been in ill health, surffering from a nervous trouble for several months past. She was survived by three children, Elias Earle and Wilton Earle and Miss Mary Earle, all of Beaverdam. The brothers and sisters were: Mrs. Sallie Cunningham and W. H. Harrison, of Anderson, James Harrison of Beaverdam, Mrs. W. R. Cothran and Dr. F. E. Harrison of Abbeville, Prof. Thomas Harrison, a member of the faculty of the Agricultuaral and Mechanical College at Raleigh, N. C. and L. C. Harrison of Charlotte. Mrs. Earle was a daughter of the late Col. F. E. Harrison of Andersonville and was married in 1871 to E. Preston Earle, who died in April of last years, Mr. Earle served Anderson County, S. C. for several terms in the Legislature during the 1870's. Mrs. Earle had many relatives and friends throughtout the county who will deeply deplore her death.

[The following Biographical information provided by MLPBailey .]

Antoinette was a daughter of Col. Harrison by his first marriage. She should be linked to # 82203438 as her correct mother. She was not a daughter of 2nd wife Mary Eunice Perrin, who Col. Harrison didn't marry until 10 May 1861.

Also, although her obit says she was "about 50 years old", she was at least 52, important because her mother died in 1857, so Antoinette was not born in 1859. The printed obit says she married in 1874, so she would have been 17 at marriage. The transcribed obit says married in 1871, probably a typo, (and just one reason I disagree with the FAG policy that we have to transcribe obits, but that's another whole can of worms!)
