Major League Baseball Player. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was an infielder making his debut with the Detroit Tigers on April 18, 1965. For six seasons, he played with the Detroit Tigers (1965-68), Seattle Pilots in 1969 and California Angels in 1970. Known as a slick-fielding, no-hit shortstop player, he was a key figure in the Detroit Tigers World Series Championship in 1968. He ended his career with a record of 221 hits, 110 runs scored, 15 home runs, 86 runs batted in, a .175 batting average and .966 fielding percentage. He died at age 43 in Redmond, Washington.
