Rome News-Tribune Monday, January 28, 1985

Mrs. O.F. (Ann G.) Adams, 403-A Stonewall St., died Sunday morning at a Rome Hospital.

Mrs. Adams was born in Floyd County, daughter of the late Charles Williams Giles and Ethel Lipham Giles. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of Sherwood Forest Baptist Church, Joy Sunday School Class and Constellation Chapter No. 191, Order of the Eastern Star. She was employed by Rome Hosiery Mills, the Singer Company in Atlanta and prior to retirement was employed by Reserve Life Insurance Company as a secretary. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Osmon F. Adams, Dec. 25, 1957.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Doyal (Blanche) Butler, Rome, a niece and nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Talley Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Talmadge Barnes officiating. Interment will be at Beech Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers are M.W. Garrett, Keith Swann, Quillian Mills, Flem Cargile, Robert Thacker and Phil Herdon.
