Kirk had a kind heart, a gentle spirit and he loved sports, animals and his family. He was a lifetime resident of Macon, a graduate of Jones County High School, had attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Kirk is in Heaven now with his father: George Barton; mother: Rilla Barton, and brothers: Larry and Terry Barton.
While his heart gave out on Thursday, he will live on in the hearts of his surviving siblings and their spouses: Sue Barton of Macon, Tom and Gwen Barton of Macon, Jane Barton and John Jackson of Warner Robins, Barry Barton of Warner Robins, Barbara NeSmith of Culloden, Lena Barton of Atlanta and Tim and Cathy Barton of Macon; as well as the hearts of his sister-in-laws: Judy Barton of Macon, Shirley Sorenson of Gray; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
