Sis. Francis Arnold was born May 16, 1902 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Downs, who preceded her in death. Sis. Francis departed this life Monday, July 15, 1991 at 11:00 a.m.
She was married to Mr. General Arnold and to this union nine children were born. Three preceded her in death.
She joined the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age. Later she joined the Mt. Willie Baptist Church where she served until her health failed.
She is survived by three daughters, Eugenia Welch and Jannie Garrett of Chidester and Mamie McBride of Rockford, Illinois; three sons, Isiah Arnold, Lemar Arnold and William Arnold all of Rockford; one sister, Elsie Mason of Camden; twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her funeral was held Monday, July 22, 1991 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Willie Baptist Church, Highway 24, Chidester, Arkansas. Interment was in Shiloh Cemetery, Chidester, Arkansas. Rev. R.L. Palmer officiated.
