CALMAR, Iowa - Rita Wenthold, age 83, of Calmar, IA died Monday, March 19, 2007, at her home, following a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Festina, Monsignor Cletus Hawes will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Festina Parish Center, Festina, where a scripture and rosary service will take place at 4 p.m. Friends also may call until 10 a.m. Saturday at the center. Balik Funeral Home, French Chapel, Calmar, IA is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are two daughters, Jolene Wenthold, of Calmar, and JoAnn (Tom) Harry, of Bernard; two sons, Gary (Diana) Wenthold, of Mahwah, NJ, and Alan (Ann) Wenthold, of Fort Atkinson; eight grandchildren, Tina Harry, Dr. Jackie (Josh) Dykstra, Amber Wenthold, Justin Wenthold, Abby Bucheit, Lindsey Bucheit, Ashley Wenthold and Kiersten Wenthold; five sisters, Florentina Hageman, of Calmar, Lucille A. Kruse and Vera Kriener, of Waucoma, and Dolores (Norbert) Kuennen, of St. Lucas, Sister Joan Hageman, of Franciscan Order SSTA, La Crosse, Wis.; two brothers, Edwin Hageman, of Calmar, and Victor (Elaine) Hageman, of Des Moines; two sisters-in-law, Cleon Hageman, of Calmar, and Pat Hageman, of Decorah.
