Betsey Castor/Caster is John Ayres/Ayers Esqr's daughter, Elizabeth. Early marriage records for Butler County show Elizabeth Ayres marrying John Caster on 24 October 1822 by the Rev. David Layman. No further information yet but it's interesting that James Ayers/Ayres, one of John Esq.'s sons, has a Castor girl with his family in 1850 and one of the boys in 1860. They couldn't have been her children since they'd have been grown by then but he appears to have been a guardian of a number of children from different homes. Hopefully more information will come to light.
