Daisy Bell Holly, 85, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005.

She was born Aug. 25, 1920 in Aspermont to Alonzo and Cora Mayfield. She graduated from Aspermont High School in 1938 and moved to Lubbock that same year. Daisy Bell married Arthur M. Holly Dec. 20, 1941 in Clovis, N.M. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1991. She worked at the Texas Tech Bookstore for 16 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she sang in the Keenager Choir for many years, Highland Baptist 3R's group, Christian Women's Club, Senior Circle and Seniors Are Special. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lonelle Berry.

Survivors include four sons, Ron Holly and wife Linda of Lubbock, Barry Holly and wife Betty of Lubbock, Craig Holly and wife Dee of Midland, and Rocky Holly and wife Dottie of Midland; a sister, Gene Ray of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Holly and the Rev. Ed Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the care of Sanders Funeral Home.
