Sharon Carr-Griffin
Dec 4, 1964 ~ Feb 10, 2012

Sharon attended Merced High School and graduated from San Joaquin Valley Medical School. She just recently graduated from Tulsa College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a degree in Medical Coding and Billing.

Sharon adopted her beautiful daughter Marissa (who was her pride and joy). Merced will remember Sharon best for her loving ways and as co-author of the Steven Stayner book "Victim to Hero." She was instrumental in seeing that the Steven Stayner monument now stands in Applegate Park.

Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Day Carr. She is survived by her daughter, Marissa Griffin of Oklahoma; her mother, Judy Carr of Oklahoma; her father, Tom Carr of Atwater, CA; her siblings, Tom Carr and wife Darcy of Colorado; Gary Carr and wife Casey of Tennessee; Amy Carr Jenkins and husband Rich of Pennsylvania; and her half-sister, Kim Mulvihill of Modesto, CA. Sharon also loved her seven nieces and nephews.

Sharon will be greatly missed and loved by all. We have a slight amount of comfort knowing she is in Heaven with Tim. Always in our prayers and in our hearts. Till we meet again.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00pm at Merced District Cemetery. Father John Fleutsch (her dear friend and classmate) will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Fr. Fleutsch's parish at: In Memory of Sharon Carr-Griffin, c/o Fr. John Fleutsch, St. John the Evangelist Church, 1300-9th Place, Wasco, CA 93280.
