James Jones, Jr. was born on August 29, 1949 to James Jones, Sr. and Pearl Jones in Oakland, California. He departed this life on March 8, 1996 at the age of 46.
He was a graduate of Fremont High School. Shortly after completing high school, he was recruited by the United States Army where he served approximately two years in Viet Nam. He was discharged honorably from the Service.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Jones, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His mother, Pearl Jones; daughter, Lavonne Jones, and grandson, Davon Jones, of Oakland, California; two sisters, Edna Stoglin and Christine Aubrey, both of Oakland, California; three brothers, Ellis, Eugene and Obie Jones, all of Oakland, California; and one brother-in-law, Larry Stoglin, also of Oakland, California.
He is also survived by aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. M.G. Duckett, Mr. and Mrs. Carmett Duckett, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Smith and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Pitchford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
