Josephine "Fina" Lopez, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord and her husband on Feb. 15, 2012. Josephine was born March 19, 1928, in Phoenix, Ariz., to the union of Ramon and Ramona Rico.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Mr. Louie Lopez, who was a longshoreman for 40 years, and which the surviving children, Henry Louie Lopez, Daniel Rico Lopez (wife Vidalia), Thomas Joseph Lopez (wife Laura Coronado-Lopez), daughter Gloria Diana Rojas, also work as longshoremen, and son, Robert Martin Lopez (wife Connie Nava Lopez) (owners of Robert Martin Salon in Camarillo); grandchildren, Gina M. Lopez, Lorraine (Alex) Cortez, Christina J. Lopez, Monica D. Lopez, Deana C. Lopez, Ginger M. Lopez, Thomas J. Lopez II (Elaine), Raymond Charles Madueno, Valerie Lopez Rojas, and Israel Nava Lopez; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Herminia Orozco, Ofelia Badilla, Mike Rico and Angie Delgado.
Preceded in death also by brothers, Armond Rico, Ruben Rico and Ramon Rico. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 South "E" Street, Oxnard.
Mass of Christian burial will celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Santa Clara Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North "H" Street, Oxnard.
