Gertrude Branch Dickason, of Richmond, departed this life February 18, 2012.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edward Lee Branch and Jessie E. Patterson; and her husband, Everett A. Dickason.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted niece and nephew, Beverly Chapman and Rev. David Chapman; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Archer, Anna Dickason and Patricia Dickason; one brother-in-law, Lacey Gibson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special caregivers and faithful friends, Rosa Glover and Mr. and Mrs. Patricia Bonner-Brown.

Remains rested at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull Street. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 1pm, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2611 Bells Road, where remains laid in state at 12 noon. Dr. Michael A. Sanders, Pastor, officiated. Rev. David L. Chapman, Eulogist. Interment Mt. Minnis Memorial Park. Family and friends attending services assembled at the church Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 12:30pm
