Musician and artist. He was a founding member, bass player and backing vocalist of the Detroit, Michigan based iconic band MC5, long seen as innovators of punk rock. Once the band broke up in the 1970's, he became involved with the art noise group Destroy All Monsters. He reunited with MC5 in the 2000's, resulting in a 200 city world tour and a new studio release. In addition to his music, he was a painter, with his work becoming album covers for MC5 releases as well as a multimedia audio/DVD release by the rock group Primal Scream.
