OBITUARY:
Marion Malone Gahagan
Marion Malone Gahagan, 69, 912 North Street, Lafayette, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he had been since Nov. 1. Born at Pana, Ill., he came to Lafayette 40 years ago and was employed as a machinist at the Monon shops until he retired in 1939.
He was a member of the Machinists Union, Local No. 181, I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 15 and F. and A.M. Masonic Lodge No. 260 of Mattoon, Ill. His first wife, Nina Mary Helmick died in 1921 and Sept. 16, 1929 he married Mrs. Josephine Taylor Henry, who survives, together with six children, Mrs. Ernest Grunsfeld, Chicago; Mrs. R.C. Perkins, Texarkana, Tex.; Mrs. Ralph Johnson, Fort Wayne; Mrs. R.W. Simpson, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Clarence Polstra, Winamac; James H. Gahagan, Cincinnati; two stepchildren, Howard and Gordon Henry, Lafayette; a brother, E.A. Gahagan, Trinidad, Colo.
Body at Bradshaw Funeral Home, after 4 Monday.
