William John Folk (Uncle Bill) was born in Montana but lived in Bureau County, Illinois during his "growing up years". He attended school in Manlius, Illinois. Bill married Mary Hellen Reed and they had one child; Katherine Elizabeth Folk in 1942. Somewhere around 1956 Bill and Helen separated or divorced. She moved to DeLand, Florida with her Daughter. Bill began his work with AT&T in Chicago and later worked around Springfield, Illinois. At one time, he was office manager at AT&T. Late in his life he became gravely ill and went back to Sheffield, Illinois and lived with a nephew until he died. Mary Hellen's Parents were David Andrew and Catherine Reed.
