July 23, 1904, in Mexico or Goldfield, Nevada; changed his name to John Leighton; died Apr. 25, 1989, in Portland, Oregon; and (2) Anita Esther Carter, b. Sept. 10, 1905, in Goldfield, Nevada; m. Arthur Douglas Stone; died Dec. 15, 1971, in Port Charlotte, Florida.
