Civil War: Private, Company F, 53rd Alabama Regiment (enlisted Aug. 22, 1862; discharged at Greensboro, NC May 3, 1865)

Husband of Mary B. Lastinger Adams (married 10/14/1865); father of John, Margret, Sarah S., Eleza, Allace and James H. Adams. Moved to Florida December 15, 1868.

During the war, he received a wound to his hip at the Battle of Black Creek on July 4, 1863 which resulted in arthritis later in his life.
