Born in Warsaw, IN on Aug. 28, 1881. Reed was a resident of Springfield, IL in 1915. In 1927 he settled in Los Angeles where he was an employee of Mission Engraving and an illustrator for the Mickey Mouse Beverage Company (a Disney affiliate). He died in Los Angeles on March 30, 1940. He was the father of the famous artist Marjorie Reed.
