David Harvey, 80, a retired farmer, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. Ohnstad, 1508 Morrison St., early this morning. Mr. Harvey was born in Ayrshire Scotland, March 8, 1850, coming to America with his parents at the age of four to settle at Mayville, Dodge county, where the family lived for a year, then moving to Caledonia, Columbia county. In 1871 he married Agnes Shanks and they moved to Wells, MN, where they remained a year, returning to Caledonia. Mrs. Harvey died in 1914. Mr. Harvey moved to Madison in 1920 to live with his daughter. He is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Ohnstad and Mrs. J. R. Gates of Bloomington; three sons, W. W. Harvey of Savoy, MT, William Burke, and David of DeForest; one brother, James of Cheyenne, ND, and one sister, Mrs. John McLean of Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Sunday afternoon from the Schroeder Funeral Home and at 2:30 from the Congregational Church at Windsor. The Rev. Stangenburg will officiate. Interment will be in the Windsor Cemetery. WSJ 12/5/1930
