Clifford Roy, 88, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 14, 1923 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the son of the late Thomas Cosby and Delpha Ann (Chumbley) Roy. Clifford was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, a former member of the American Legion Post #234 and the Scott County V.F.W. Post # 6582.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Louwanda Jean Roy and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Barger) Bowers-Roy; three daughters, Tammy (Fred) Riley of Scottsburg, Indiana, Debbie (Merrill) Miles and Alisa (Donald) Cox both of Lexington, Indiana; three stepsons, David, Rocky (Carol) and Edward (Samantha) Bowers all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Charlotte (Stan) Lundy of Crothersville, Indiana; a brother, Dwight Roy of California; two sisters, Edna Swinford of Shelbyville, Indiana and Neva Dailey of California; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
