She was born February 25, 1924, in Louisa County, daughter of the late Andrew M. and Mabel B. Harlow.
She was a life long member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church and retired from Division of Motor Vehicles with 30 years of service.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, Bernard, Andrew B, Lynn and Everette Harlow; and a sister, Kate Williams.
Myrtle (known as Myrt Myrt by her relatives) is survived by her sisters, Ruby Carter and Thelma Badgett; many nieces, nephews, friends and godchildren, Megan and Cody Atkins.
The family acknowledged with great appreciation the loving care of Dr. Chesler, the Martha Jefferson Hospital 5th floor nurses and the Cedar Nursing Home Unit 4 nurses.
The family received friends from 6:30pm until 8pm on Monday, November 6, 2006, at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Kents Store, Virginia.
Graveside services were held at 1pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Jim Thornton.
