Mrs. Mary Loveland
Funeral services of Mrs. Mary Loveland of Sparta, Mich., will be held this afternoon at the home of her son, Charles L. Loveland 618 Butterworth Street S. W. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mary Manwaren/ Manwaring was the daughter of John George or Robert Manwaren/ Manwaring and Anna Wilson and was born May 19, 1826 in England. She was preceded in death by her known siblings: sisters, Mrs Elizabeth Ingram, & Louisa; and her brothers, Charles Manwarren and James Wilson. She was survived by her sister Eliza Jane Maynard. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs Jane Ball and son Lucious K Loveland.

Mary married George B Loveland, son of Enoch Loveland and Harriet Price on May 12, 1844 in Sandy Hook, Orleans County, New York. George and Mary moved to Paw Paw, VanBuren Michigan in the early 1850's. George worked on and off as a Cooper. He died while out fishing and was found already dead in his boat along the shore of a lake in Van Buren County.

They were the parents of 12 children: Henry, George, Charles, Edward, Chester, Lucious, Harriet, Agnes, Mary, Nellie, Jane & Sarah.

After the death of her husband Mary received his Civil War Pension and lived with various relatives and her children until her death in Grand Rapids in 1915.
