Actor. Born the eldest son of Michael and Gail Worswick in Bolton, England, he attended drama workshops from a very young age and starred in several commercials. From July to September 2000 he played the part of Warren Shipley in the long running soap opera, ‘Coronation Street. ' He also appeared the series ‘Shameless' and the BBC programs ‘Cops' and ‘Clocking Off.' He attended Canon Slade School and in the weeks before his death had been upset with the results of a practice run of school tests and in addition been banned from attending the prom after he played truant. On Saturday March 27 and Sunday March 28, he did not return home and was reported missing by his family. Friends and family received text messages from him informing them that he was "going to a better place" or in a note to a friend that he would not go back to school rather he was "going to be dead." A dog-walker found his body hanging from a tree in a vacant lot not far from his home in Breightmet, Bolton, on Monday morning. More than 200 mourners attended his funeral service at St John's Church, Bolton. The Bolton coroner returned an open verdict on the boy's death; saying was not satisfied that Dean knew the consequences of his actions.
