Abraham was born in Union Township, Berks Co, PA.
He stopped in Washington County, PA on his way to Ohio where he married Martha Brown on 30 Oct 1788 in Canonsburg.
Their first child, Nathaniel, was born there in 1789. Abraham came to Ohio in the early 1800's, after the birth of their last child, Maria, in 1808.
Of the nine known children, two boys and seven girls, four of the girls married Clarks, three brothers and a cousin. Son John and daughter Rebecca married McKnight siblings.
