5 November 1910, page 4:
Mr. Harlow Burch Sr. died last Friday and was buried on Saturday at Centerville cemetery, the funeral services being attended by Rev. Chirgwin as minister. Mr. Burch had been ill for some time and on account of circumstances which prohibited taking the old gentleman to the home of Mrs. Burch or his son Jasper's, Mr. Moutrey at the county farm was hired by the family to take care of him and during the last days a nurse was also provided by the family. These explanations are made in justice to the family, who while not in a position to take him home were able and willing to give him all the care possible. Mr. Burch many years ago lived with his family at Bedford, but took a notion to try his fortunes in other sections, consequently during the past thirty years, he has been absent most of the time. This year he came back and when his illness reached a stage where constant care was needed he was provided for as above stated. His death was due principally to old age. He leaves a wife three sons and a daughter.
