After serving in the Confederate Army and widowed with children and married a 2nd time with additional children he immigrated to Palmetto, Manatee County, Florida. His sister Cassandra (Cassie) Harrison and her husband, Dr. Mack Harrison also moved to Palmetto, Manatee County, Florida. Dr. Harrison was the first Physician on the north side of the Manatee River at Palmetto.
Reverend Miller was widowed for the 2nd time with many children, Pinckney married the 3rd and final time to Annis Olympus Marlowe of Marion County FL and had additional children for a total of 15. Reverend Pinckney Orr Miller founded the Baptist Church attached to the Cemetery now called Hurrah in Picnic, Florida. Annis is in the grave on his left, and on his right is their son Eustice Miller who drowned in the Peace River at the age of 27 years.
