Evaline "Eva" Runyon (3/8 Cherokee) was the daughter of Lawson Runyon Sr. and Elsie Jane Martin and was born near Ft. Gibson, IT. She was educated in the Cherokee Public Schools and Female Seminary.


Eva Runyan Mounts had two younger half siblings: Maggie Sangster Lyman (1896-1995) and Dixie Sangster (1901-1904). She also 3 older half siblings: Cora Runyan Miller (1874-1924), Robert Runyan (1876-?), and Thomas J. Runyan (1879-1915).

She married at Ft. Gibson in 1912, John Thompson Mounts (1/64 Cherokee); they had one daughter: Thelma J. Mounts.

They are listed in Starr's "History of the Cherokee Indians," p. 573.
