Mrs. Thelma L Piro, 76, formerly of 1205 Mechanic street, died at 6:45 pm Tuesday, December 10, 1974, in Fondulac Nursing Manor, East Peoria, where she had been a patient since October 21. She had been in ill health several months. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Kuecks-Woolsey Funeral Home. Rev. William E. Pruett of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Piro was born May 25, 1898 {1897} in Tazewell County, a daughter of Allen and {Margaret} Rose Givens Moore. S he was married to James Piro at Pekin. He preceded her in death. Surviving is one brother, Archie Moore, of Peoria. She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

------------------------------

Siblings: Carl, Ernest, Lena, Fredonia, Hazel, Eileen, Archie and Carrie.

1900 Census shows Allen & Margaret
with the following children:
Carl L 16y, Lena E 14y, Alma M (Eileen) 5y, Thelma L 4y, Carrie L 8/12.

1930 Census shows Thelma & James Piro living at 520 Market, Pekin, IL

Residences include:
520 Market Street, Pekin

Note: Thelma was married prior to James Piro, to a Lynch. I have found a census that lists a Thelma Lynch (divorced) living with Rose Moore in Havana IL. In the 1930 census, it shows her as having been married at age 18 and James as married at age 36. They're age 33 and 37 in 1930 census.
Also, in the IL Stillbirths and Deaths; 1916-1947; James Piro's death is recorded, with his wife being Thelma Moore Lynch.

I have found a Rose M Moore and Thelma L Lynch living in Havana IL in 1920. I have also found an Arthur Lynch (b abt 1894, divorced) living in Havana IL on riverbank. I believe this Arthur L Lynch to be Thelma's first husband. I believe this marriage took place sometime about or after 1913 and ended by 1920, as her 1920 census status reflects.
