Lady Anne Stafford de Mortimer de Holand
Countess of March, Duchess of Huntington and Exeter,

Daughter of Sir Edmund Stafford, Earl of Stafford, descendant of King Edward I and Anne of Woodstock (Anne Plantagenet Stafford Bourchier), daughter of Thomas of Woodstock, son of King Edward III.

Wife of Sir Edmund de Mortimer, 5th Earl of March, son of Roger de Mortimer and Eleanor de Holand, who died 1425. They married after 1415 (the date of dispensation directing him to marry a 'fit woman' related to him in the 3rd degree of affinity) and before 1421.

Secondly, wife of Sir John Holand/Holland, Earl of Huntingdon and Exeter, married before 06 Mar 1427.They had one son and one daughter:
* Sir Henry, Duke of Exeter, also known as Harry
* Anne, wife of John Neville & James Douglas

John would remarry twice, to Beatrice of Portugal, widow of Sir Thomas Arundel and daughter of Joao, King of Portugal, and next to Anne Montagu, widow of Richard Hankford, daughter of Sir John Montagu, Earl of Salisbury.

Inscription

This monument was erected in the collegiate church of St Katharine near the Tower to the memory of John Holland Duke of Exeter: Earl of Huntingdon & Ivry=Lord of Sparr=Admiral of England Ireland and Aquitaine = Knight of the most noble Order of the Garter and Constable of the Tower = he died the V of August MCCCCLVII.

+ Also to the memory of his two wives = viz
=Anne daughter of Edmund Earl of Stafford by whom he had issue Henry Holland the last Duke of Exeter of that surname who married Anne sister of King Edward the fourth and died without issue.

= Anne daughter of John Montacute Earl of Salisbury by whom he had issue his only daughter Anne mother to Roland Nevil third Earl of Westmoreland.

Their remains having been carefully removed from the original place of interment were deposited in this chapel as are those of the other persons whose monuments and gravestones were transferred to it from the Collegiate Church of St Katharine aforesaid.

Gravesite Details

1825 Monument & remains moved from St Katharine's by the Tower to St Katherine's Regents Park. 1950s Monument moved to Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula in the Tower of London.
