Mattie Ruth Bell Abercrombie died peacefully in her sleep at Hadlow Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday morning, November 1, 2009. She would have been 90 years old November 27, 2009.
Mattie Ruth was a native of Bulloch County and was Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, George Abercrombie; two sisters, Willa Martin and Dulla Mills; six brothers, E.K. Bell, Ray Bell, Alton Bell, Rosco Bell, Foster Bell and Emerson Bell.
She is survived by 21 nieces and nephews.
The memorial service and interment will be private.
