Lilly M. Morrison
Lilly M. Morrison, 83, of Shelbyville died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born April 3, 1926, in Little Rock, Ark., she was the daughter of Leon "Pop" and Hazel Leona Bowers. She married Melvin Morrison in 1941, and he survives.
Other survivors include her son, M.J. Morrison of Shelbyville; daughters, Beverly (husband, Walt) Corn of Sevierville, Tenn., Bonita Coffey, Bernice Morrison and Lois Crouch, all of Shelbyville; brother, Harold Bowers of Shelbyville; sister, Thelma Pearson of Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy S. Reneau; infant son, Bruce Allen Morrison; sister, Juanita Stacey; and brothers, Clifford Stacey and Jimmy Bowers.
Mrs. Morrison moved to the Shelbyville area for 55 years ago from Missouri.
She was a nurse's aide at Heritage House Convalescent Center for several years.
Mrs.. Morrison enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, playing cards and watching game shows on television.
A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
