Francis was the son of James Germanson (1846 - 1898) and Mary Lynch (abt 1850 - 1923). He had an older brother John C. (1885 - 1908) and a younger, unnamed sister who died at birth (5 Mar 1890). He married Pauline Reise on Sep 1910 until her death in 1933. Married Lillian Hannel Heyer shortly thereafter until she passed away in 1967. Francis is the father of 6 children, all with Pauline Reise. Children were Lorraine Chiaverotti (Dominic), Frank (Hazel, nee Manzeck), Howard (Betty, nee Mitchell), Ruth Millicent Crivello (Joseph), Gilbert Lee (Violet Katherine, nee Henger), and George (Ethel). Both Francis (Frank) and his wife Pauline Pearl Reise are buried in Arlington Park Cemetery in the Reise family plot.
