George S. Pooler, son of Dwight Pooler and Charlotte J. Baxter, was born June 7, 1870, in Dunn County, Wisconsin.

George married twice, with his first marriage September 14, 1890, when he was united in marriage to the widow Almira Noble, in Otter Creek Township, Dunn County, Wisconsin, by W. J. Harlit, J.P., in a ceremony witnessed by Jane Harlit and George Mc Willis. Almira was born in July 1862 in Wisconsin, daughter of George and Emily Knapp. She died in 1918. Their children, all born in Dunn County, Wisconsin, were:

George's second marriage was to Lizabelle "Lizzie" Bratton, born in 1876 in Minnesota, daughter of a father born in Indiana and a mother born in Minnesota. She brought one child into the marriage as a 14 year old Maude Pickett was listed with the family in the 1920 U.S. Census as a daughter.

In the 1900 U.S. Census, George Pooler was listed as a 30 years old farm laborer living in Colfax Township, Dunn County, Wisconsin, with his 38 years old wife Alneiaira Pooler and their five children: 14 years old Maryriable Pooler; 8 years old Archie Pooler; 5 years old Lester Pooler; 5 years old Loyal Pooler; and 1 month old Lottie Pooler. They had been married 9 years, owned their house free and clear, and were the parents of 5 children all living. They were enumerated, with one family in between, after the family of Dwight and Charlotte Pooler.

In the 1910 U.S. Census, George S. Pooler was listed as a 39 years old odd jobs laborer living in the village of Colfax with his 47 years old wife Almira M. Pooler and their four children: 15 years old Lester G. Pooler; 10 years old Loyd A. Pooler; 10 years old Lottie L. Pooler; and 7 years old Clair Pooler. They had been married 20 years, had 5 children all of whom were living, and lived in a rented house.

In the 1920 U.S. Census, George Pooler was listed as a 49 years old laborer living on Main Street in the Village of Colfax, Dunn County, Wisconsin, with his 44 years old wife Lizze Pooler and their 14 year old daughter ?Bincep Manor?

In the bio of George Pooler you have Lizzie for 2nd wife. This is Lizabelle "Lizzie" Bratton who married 1st to Frank Orthello Pickett and in the 1920 census her daughter Maude Pickett was with her.. I can see by the handwriting in the census one might think it is Manor something but its Maude Pickett. If you can correct that bio on George Pooler. Jerry.
