Obituary: SI BEHLER'S DEATH WAS UNEXPECTED. Simon Behler, 67, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Tuesday evening at Ramsel Oil Co. station. He was born at Cosby, Mo. but had lived in this community for 62 years. A retired farmer, he hunted and fished in his later life. Mr. Behler was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are a step-sister and step-brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Redmond and Henry Engeman of Wathena and a niece, Mrs. Dave Crisp of St. Jo.
Rev. Wm. Jassmann will conduct services this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at Harman's. Carol Madden will be soloists. Burial will be in E. and R. cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Manville, Laurence Ramsel, Harold Brenner, E. A. Hageman and Lee and Robert Madinger.(Src: The Wathena Times, November 14, 1957.)
