Lewis Leasure Wright, 84, father of Clovis Wright, of Waynesburg,PA died Thursday, Nov. 29, 1956, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hazel (Charles) Smith, of Clendenin, W. Va.
Born April 30, 1872 at Jakes Run, W. Va. he was a son of Richard and Minerva (Wright) Wright and was the last of his family. He was twice married. His first wife, Armeda Belle Phillips Wright, died April 4, 1928 and by this union he leaves two sons and a daughter, Ira Lloyd Wright of Arthursdale, W. Va., Mrs. Hazel (Charles) Smith of Clendenin, W. Va.; and Richard Clovis Wright of Waynesburg, PA. He also is survived by nine grandchildren and his second wife, Emma Houchin Wright of Elizabeth, W. Va.
Mr. Wright had been a member of the Murrel Chapel Methodist Church near Blacksville, W. Va. since 1888.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday Dec. 1, 1958 from the First Methodist Church at Elizabeth, W. Va. with interment in the Hill Grove Cemetery.--Laura Poland Mallett
