Armeda Bell Phillips Wright, a daughter of Thomas and Nancy Myers Phillips, was born June 3rd, 1870, and died at the home of her daughter, April 4, 1928, aged 57 years, 10 months.
She was united in marriage with Lewis L. Wright, April 14, 1894. Three children survive. Namely, Ira Lloyd and Richard Clovis Wright of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. C.R. (Nancy Hazel) Smith of Sanoma, W.Va.
Besides her husband and children, she leaves the following:
One grand-daughter, Edra Violet Smith, Sanoma, WV; her mother, Nancy Myers Phillips, 80 years of age,Wayne Township, Greene Co., PA; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Louise (W.I.) Wright, of Fairmont, WV; four brothers, Spencer Ross, Thomas Calvert and Jobe Phillips all of Waynesburg, Pa., and Abraham Elza Phillips of Spraggs, Pa., also three half-brothers, Jacob E., James Harvey. and Frank M.Phillips, all of Spraggs, Pa.
She was converted in 1888. She has lived a christian life for forty years and left the testimony that her heart was right with God, and that she was willing to go.
She was a kind and loving mother, always making sacrifices for the comfort of her family.
The funeral was conducted from the Hill Grove Baptist Church, April 6th at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. A.F. Monroe officiating.
Interment was in the Hill Grove cemetery, Sanoma,WV with undertaker W.M. Pomroy in charge.
