Died 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1991, at Field Community Memorial Hospital, Centreville, Miss. He was born, Sept. 4, 1903, at Cedar Grove Plantation, Amite County, Miss., and resident of Centreville, Miss., for 60 years. He was a produce broker in East Feliciana Parish.

Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, Miss., 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial services at Thomson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Centreville, Miss., at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville, Miss.

He descends from pioneer families in Amite County, Miss. and East Feliciana Parish.

Survived by eight nieces; and nephews; and fellow christians of both races.

Preceded in death by parents, David Frank Dixon and Margaret Poole Dixon; three brothers, Lamar, Frank and Henry Clay; and three sisters, Julia, Alice and Willie Mae.

He was an elder at Thomson Memorial Presbyterian Church for almost 20 years.
