Born May 18, 1930, in Teterton, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Mae Bennett Hedrick.
She was a member of the Onego Church of the Brethren, where she served as church secretary and Sunday School teacher.
On June 7, 1950, she was married to Dale Vance, who preceded her in death April 20, 2002.
Surviving are two daughter, Patricia Rexrode and husband Dick of Franklin, and Nancy Reed and husband, Carl of Seneca Rocks; a son, Sam Vance and wife, Vickie of Elkins; five grandchildren Ryan Vance, Maria Reed, Jordan Reed, Brandon Rexrode, and Stephanie Rexrode and seven great grandchildren, Logan, Emilee, C.J., Willie Bruce, Zack, Jayden and Raven Angel.
She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers; two brothers, Clinton Hedrick and Preston Hedrick, Jr., one half sister, Lillie Kimble and three sisters, Maria Mallow Harman, Sudie Wyatt and Virginia Eye.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Bible Missionary Church, Onego, with Dan Ewald and Ken Anderson officiating.
Interment will be at Vance Cemetery, Roaring Creek, Onego.
