SERVICES WERE held today, in
the Carl J. Ballweg Funeral Home for
Mrs. Cora Reid Abbott, 88, of
230 W. Mason av., who died Christmas
morning at her home. Burial
was in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbott, had been ill three
months. Born In Cazenovia July 3,
1858, she spent her early life in
South-Onondaga and later trained
as a nurse in Syracuse Memorial
Hospital. From there she went to.
the home of Edward N. Trump of
1912 W. Genesee st, where she
remained as housekeeper and friend
of the family for more than 50
years.
A member of Seventh Day Adventist Church,
Mrs. Abbott was active. In mission and
church work, temperance and promotion of the
education of youth.
Survivors are two granddaughters,
Mrs. Ruth Young and Mrs.
Cora Hall, and two great-grandchlldren.
