She was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and was retired from Lees Carpets. She was a past member of the Glasgow Life Saving Ladies Auxiliary and was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Berry.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband, David E. Powell of Glasgow; one daughter, Kim P. Whitten of Glasgow; two brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the Glasgow Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
