Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville with the Rev. Donald Graham officiating. Burial followed in the Green Moss Cemetery, located in rural Martinsville. Visitation was held Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
Mr. Montgomery was born April 4, 1928 in Edgar County, the son of Leslie Dean and Cecil Ruth Nicholson Montgomery.
Survivors include five sons, Leslie Steven and Gary Lee "Buck" Montgomery, both of Casey, David Mark Montgomery of Martinsville, Terry Wayne Montgomery of Springfield and Roger Allen Montgomery of Chester; one daughter, Brenda Kay Montgomery of Casey; one brother, Lloyd Montgomery of Martinsville; one sister, Cheryl Auld of Martinsville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a companion, Kathy Poling of Casey.
Mr. Montgomery was a member of the Casey Moose Lodge.
The family suggests for those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
