My paternal Grandfather. Born in Romania and came to the US when he was about 17 years old. I was told he served in the US Military though. Early years in New York, his family *brothers* owned jewerly stores, his brother Jacob was also a music composer, I know because I have a very old music program from the United Nations of music he wrote for the United Nations. Interesting huh? I don't know what town in Romania he was born in. I know the family had jewerly business there as well. The cemetery said a Harry was listed as next of kin in the office.
