Ernest F. (Bus) Bonner, Sr., 64, of Elk Community near Hendricks, died Tuesday at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins, where he had been a patient two weeks.

He was a farmer and a retired sawyer for International Lumber Company.

Born in Elk, he was a son of the late Martin Van Buren and Eliza Jane (George) Bonner.

His wife, Sylvia (Burns) Bonner, died in September, 1968.

Surviving are three sons, Ernest F. Bonner, Jr., Hendricks; Eston L. Bonner, Baltimore, and James D. Bonner, Asmara, Ethiopia; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Poling, Perryopolis, Pa.; Wilda J. Cross, Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Evelyn McDonald, Baltimore; two brothers, Eston B. Bonner, Berkeley Springs, and Clifford Bonner, Mogadore, Ohio; five half brothers, Van Davis and Nathan Bright, Hendricks; Howard Davis, here; Benjamin C. and Calvin C. Bright, Baltimore; six sisters, Mrs. Freddy Bennett, Red Creek; Mrs. Mabel Miller, Hendricks; Mrs. Goldie Stroble, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Pearl Simmons, St. Albans; Mrs. Stella J. Feeney, Cumberland, and Mrs. Thelma Coberly, Beverly; three half sisters, Mrs. Helena Dietz and Mrs. Ellen Young, Baltimore; Mrs. Eva Moore, Cresaptown; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The body is at the Greenlief Funeral Home where friends will be received today and tomorrow.

A service will be conducted at Bright's Chapel Church Saturday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Meade L. Gutshall.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
