The Portville Autograph, Portville, NY, September 6, 1907
Last Sunday [Sep 1], at her home at Millgrove, occurred the death of Mrs. Nancy Archibald, widow of the late John Archibald. Mrs. Archibald had been ill for the past nine weeks, cancer being the cause of her death. She was 80 years of age and had lived in this town nearly all her life. She is survived by two brothers, J. C. and Ezra Middaugh of Portville and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Slemons of Salamanca. Mrs. Slemons had tenderly cared for her during her illness. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday [Sep 3] afternoon, Rev, F. Roulo officiating. Interment was made In Chestnut Hill cemetery.
